DAY 2

DAWN PATROL

Making sure the winds are good for the rest of the balloons to fly.

MASS ASCENSION

First balloon rises flying the American flag and the National Anthem playing.

Spirit of 76

Bill and I went down on the launch field for a close up view.

 An elephant filling with hot air.

Up it goes.

Uncle Sam filled with hot air.

He's flying high.

Lots of character balloons.

A nice luncheon at Tocona Country Club followed the morning program.  Beautiful grounds, course, and club.

  A delicious luncheon was provided for all in attendance.  Cordon bleu  for lunch. Afterwards it was time for a nap before we all gathered for hors d'oeuvres at 4pm.  Hungry?

EVENING GLOW AND FIREWORKS

We walked over the bridge and headed for the vendor's area.  There were more food concessions than anything else.  People.  OMG.  Never have I seen so many.

There would be a count dow  from ten when all the balloons would light at the same time.  Just magical.

At 8pm the fireworks began.  The ending to a perfect day.

So that was a full day y'all.   We'll be ready to start all over tomorrow.  Stand by.
